Purpose
Our Purpose
This section is intended to give clarity for our reasons for being. Our purpose is an
evolving one, as we learn and grow so will our purposes. I hope that this will help those that are first time visitors, and our regular visitors as well.
Our purpose:
- To reach the Middle East with the gospel of Jesus Christ, through Prayer and Evangelism
- To create an awareness for those seeking to better understand the Middle East
- To pray for Muslims world-wide and encourage others to do so as well
- To promote websites that are laboring in the Middle East
- To promote those that are laboring in the Middle East
- To challenge Praise Chapel, and other visitors to get involved, either through prayer, evangelism, or financial support
- To proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ using internet technology, and train the body of Christ in using the Internet for ministry.
We will accomplish this in the following methods:
- Contribute thought provoking articles
- Publish books that will seek to challenge and inform you such as “Letters from Iraq”
- Sponsor short term mission trips – Next one Scheduled for May 2007 – Lebanon
- Help Provide Financial Support for missionaries such as Jack Harris in Iraq, and others that are co-laboring in the region. Proceeds from all book sales will be sent to missionaries, and/or used to support short mission trips.
Who are we? Well it started off just as myself with the hopes to reach out, and then through a series of events I came into contact with Dusty Hughes, who has the same passion and who has become a contributing writer to the site. Then there is Jack Harris, who is not officially a part of this site, but a dear friend and someone who I support, and this ministry seeks to support. What Jack Harris is doing is exactly the type of ministries we are hoping to get behind, promote, pray, and support. He is also been a great source of inspiration.
Middle East Outreach is a ministry based out of Praise Chapel Paramount. My pastor is Omar Lopez, and is fully dedicated to seeing the lost won for Jesus Christ, and the Middle East transformed.
My dear friend John Hayes, who is head of Arabs for Christ, is devoted to spreading the gospel, and is currently living in Lebanon. In many areas if we find overlapping opportunities we try to work together and allow both sites to benefit from the efforts. We have a mutual desire to see Arab Muslims come to know our Lord and Savior.
Blessings,
Robert Jimenez
